The Vendée islands of Yeu and Noirmoutier
L’Île d’Yeu :
Take a boat from St Gilles Croix de Vie or Fromentine and go on an adventure to a wild and preserved land 17 kilometers off the continent. Choose your seats inside or outside the ship and enjoy a breath of fresh air.
Once there, rent a bike and hop on it without delay to explore every corner of the 23 km² island. If you are brave, you will be able to go all the way around by taking the bike paths that give you access to paths that only bikes and pedestrians are allowed to use.
You can also opt for tranquility by renting a mehari or let yourself be guided by the guided tours in a small train or electric Tuk-Tuk, so the island will have no more secrets for you.

The Island of Noirmoutier :
Nicknamed the island of mimosas, you will be surprised by the beauty of its landscapes.
To get there you can take the bridge of the island which will offer you a magnificent panorama on the continent, the ocean and Noirmoutier, or, follow the legendary passage of Gois. The latter appears as soon as the sea recedes in the distance. Fishing enthusiasts will be able to make a stop there to find some shellfish to taste without moderation. It’s even better when you catch them yourself.

Start your escapade with Barbâtre and its preserved nature that will capture your attention. You can’t get enough of the majestic pine forest and the dunes along the sandy beaches.
Continue to La Guérinière and L’Épine where you can stop in the oyster port of Le Bonhomme, home to typical fishermen’s huts, and visit the salt marshes.
Finish with the city of Noirmoutier-en-l’Île. Stroll through the narrow streets of the city center, then head for the creeks of the Bois de la Chaise without forgetting a short passage on the pier to observe the beach from the sea.
